
Hi, I’m Leslie.
I’m a midwestern woman who is a lover of life, learning, yoga, food, books, coffee shops, deep conversations, and all things beauty. I live with my husband, J and two pups, Briar Bear and Olivia Sue. I’m a former High School English teacher and a current High School Counselor. I have also been teaching Yoga now for over 20 years.
Additional random facts about me:
*When I was a child I used to spend hours playing teacher in my imaginary classroom.
*In high school, I used to record The Oprah Winfrey Show on our VCR, and I’m pretty sure I’ve watched every single episode.
*I started my post-secondary endeavors at a small community college where I sang and danced in the college Show Choir.
*I have a fear of public speaking, and I was the commencement speaker at the graduation ceremony for my Master’s degree.
*I taught yoga long before I was officially certified. When I did complete my certification, I lived in a yurt for 16 days at The White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California.
*I love to read, and in 1997 I read Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff and It’s All Small Stuff which sparked my obsession with personal growth and development books.
*I drink green juice and eat my veggies, but I also love dark chocolate.
*I express my creativity through make-up, home decor, writing, and personal style.
*I have a fear of public speaking, and in 2016 I gave a TEDX talk on the importance of radical self-care and wellness.
*I believe empowered women empower other women.
*I dream of being a full-time content creator and traveling the world with my husband because I can work from anywhere.
